Cab Mangao operates two mobile apps: the User app for booking rides and the Driver app for accepting trips. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it and how we use it. It also explains permissions, testing elements, and extra features such as purchase services in the User app. By using our services, you agree to the terms below.

1. Who We Are

2. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to run our services smoothly:

Personal Details: Name, phone number, email, profile picture and profile details.
Location Data: Live GPS data for pickups, navigation and trip tracking.
Device Information: Model, operating system and network details.
Usage Activity: Screens viewed, time spent, interactions and feature usage.
Driver Information (Driver App): Vehicle details, license information, Aadhaar card, and availability status.

When a driver registers, we collect an Aadhaar card and a driving license for verification. The driver account stays in a pending state until the admin reviews and approves the documents. A driver can log in and take trips only after the documents are successfully verified.

3. Permissions We Request

Both apps require certain permissions so features can work properly. Below is a clear explanation of what we request and why.

A. Permissions in the User App

Location (Precise and Approximate): Needed to detect pickup location, show nearby drivers and calculate routes.
Phone: Allows customers to call drivers directly when required.
SMS (Optional in Testing): Used only in closed testing to support dummy OTP login.
Notifications: Needed for trip updates, driver arrival alerts and ride status.
Internet Access: Required for booking rides and real-time updates.
Storage Access (If used): Needed for saving profile images or app cache files.

B. Permissions in the Driver App

Location (Background and Foreground): Needed to update driver availability, navigation and live trip tracking.
Phone: Allows drivers to call riders for pickup coordination.
Notifications: Needed to receive new ride requests and updates.
Camera (If required): Used for uploading documents such as ID or vehicle papers.
Storage Access: Used for uploading or saving profile or vehicle images.
Internet Access: Required to accept rides, update status and complete trips.

We do not use these permissions for any purpose other than delivering the services described above.

4. Purchase Services in the User App

The User app includes a feature that allows customers to purchase certain items or services. These purchases are offered in three types: Pre, Indrive and Post. The Post option is not yet ready and will show “Coming Soon.” It does not collect any information.

Payments for these purchases use the Razorpay API. During closed testing, the payment setup works only in test mode, which means transactions are not real. This setup helps us test the process without charging any actual money. The live payment system will be enabled only after testing is complete and all features are fully verified.

5. Use of Dummy Data, Dummy OTP and Dummy APIs

During closed testing, we use dummy OTPs, sample data and temporary APIs. This allows testers to sign in quickly and test app features without depending on live systems. These temporary tools will be removed once the final version is ready for the public.

6. “Coming Soon” Screens

Some app sections may show a “Coming Soon” message. These areas do not collect any information. They are placeholders so testers know certain features are still being developed.

7. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage accounts.
To book rides or assign trips to drivers.
To show accurate pickup points, navigation and route updates.
To improve app stability and performance.
To send notifications, receipts and trip updates.
To meet legal and safety requirements.

8. Sharing of Information

We share only the information needed for the service to work. This includes:

With Drivers (User App): Pickup location, rider name and contact options so they can complete the trip.
With Riders (Driver App): Driver name, vehicle details, live location and contact options for safety and coordination.
With Service Providers: Tools such as SMS services, payment gateways, hosting and technical support that help us run the app.
With Authorities: If we are legally required to share information for investigation or compliance.

9. Third-Party SDKs

Our apps use trusted third-party tools that support essential features like maps, analytics, payments and notifications. These SDKs may collect limited information required for their services, but they do not access more than necessary.

Google Maps SDK: Helps with map display, navigation and accurate location tracking.
Firebase: Used for push notifications, analytics and app performance monitoring.
Razorpay (Test Mode): Used during testing for purchase flow checks. No real payments are processed and no sensitive payment data is stored.

Each third-party service has its own privacy policy, and we use them only to support app functionality.

10. Data Security

We use standard security practices to keep your information safe. Even with these measures, no online service can guarantee complete protection, so we encourage responsible use of our apps.

11. Data Retention

We keep your data only as long as needed for our services, business requirements or legal obligations. After that, data is deleted or anonymized.

12. Your Rights

These rights apply to everyone who uses our services, including both riders (User App) and drivers (Driver App). You may request to:

Update or correct your details
Delete your account and related data
Disable promotional messages

13. Children’s Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
